# An inline widget on the homepage let BBlunt ship seasonal campaigns without a single dev ticket

BBlunt used Digia Engage to run homepage inline widgets, product discovery nudges, and post-purchase recommendations, all with native Shopify and Branch.io integrations.

## About BBlunt

BBlunt is India's leading salon-first haircare brand, founded by celebrity stylists and now part of Honasa Consumer (Mamaearth's parent company). The brand runs 100+ salons across major cities and sells salon-grade products through Nykaa, Amazon, and offline retail. Their app is both a commerce channel and a branded content hub.

- 100+ salons across major cities
- Salon-grade haircare range for styling, care, and colour
- Omnichannel presence across Nykaa, Amazon, and offline retail

## The Challenge

BBlunt had already tried CMS-driven app builders. They were too rigid. The team needed app-level logic (Shopify checkout, Branch.io deep links, location-based PIN code validation) that basic CMS tools could not handle.

- Every seasonal campaign required dev involvement. A Diwali offer, a monsoon hair care bundle, a new product launch. Campaigns often shipped after the promotion window had closed.
- In-app engagement was limited to static banners that had not been updated in weeks.
- No way to run targeted nudges or surface product recommendations based on browsing behaviour without a full release.

## The Solution

BBlunt replaced their CMS layer with Digia Engage. The setup kept developer control (Git-integrated workflows for Honasa's tech team) while giving marketing and design direct access to in-app content.

- Inline widget on the homepage: the app home screen now features a dynamic widget zone where seasonal campaigns, new product launches, and curated collections go live instantly from the dashboard.
- Product discovery nudges that surface recommendations based on browsing history.
- Post-purchase inline widgets on the order confirmation screen recommending complementary products.
- All running on top of native Shopify checkout, Branch.io deep links, and PIN code validation.

## Results

- 5x faster branded rollouts — seasonal campaigns go from concept to live app in a fraction of the previous timeline.
- Zero dev bottlenecks for content changes — marketing and design ship campaigns, offers, and product pages independently.
- Native integrations working inside in-app experiences — Shopify, Branch.io, and geolocation logic, no compromise.
- Developer control retained — Git workflows let Honasa engineers extend the app whenever needed.
